This R&D project is funded by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) with record No. IN852A 2014/59 through the call of subventions “Conecta Peme” of the year 2014. The project is developed by a consortium with Conexiona as project leader, Quobis, Hacce and Optare Solutions, supported by Gradiant as research agency.
The objective of the eHeart project is research, design, implementation and validation of communication solutions that will allow operators to provide data and media services through the use of traditional and internet based communication systems combined. In this case, this project aims to improve healthcare by providing home assistance for cardiac patients supported by WebRTC communication system.
The main objective of Optare Solutions in the eHeart project is to validate the use of WebRTC communications system for transmitting data and media in a medical environment to integrate the operators in the value chain of home care services to patients with chronic heart disease . Optare Solutions will also design and develop an embedded WebRTC platform that allows direct connection between home measurement the measuring equipment at home and the cloud data analysis system, without the need of a mobile gateway for the WebRTC communications support. This Optare Solutions embedded WebRTC platform solution will allow further development of IoT solutions with WebRTC communications support for the transmission of real-time data without the need of additional WebRTC browser stack.
