Vigo, July 23rd, 2024 – The project, carried out in close collaboration with Cellnex Poland IT and operations team, had the main objective of evaluating and proposing improvements to the company’s existing processes and operations. With a focus on technical and strategic consulting, Optare Solutions demonstrated its deep knowledge in TMForum standards and its strategic vision of system architectures, to facilitate the company’s transformation, exceeding customer expectations.
The scope of the consulting ranged from a detailed evaluation of existing operational processes and systems to the identification of areas for improvement and the definition of a strategic roadmap for the implementation of different solutions & improvements. Optare Solutions worked closely with Cellnex Poland team to ensure that the recommendations proposed were realistic, pragmatic, and aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Laura Parra, CIO of Cellnex Poland, commented on the collaboration with Optare Solutions: “Optare is being a high-value partner in our transformation journey. Their commitment to the project, vision, and technical expertise have been instrumental in achieving our goals. We are delighted with the results and look forward to continuing to collaborate on future projects.”
The project was divided into two main phases. The first one focused on gathering information through interviews with operations managers and IT representatives, as well as reviewing technical and functional documentation, including business processes, system architecture, and interface design, resulting in a detailed analysis of current systems and areas to be improved for a better alignment with business objectives. The second phase involved the preparation of a comprehensive technical report including a roadmap proposal for a new architecture capable of meeting medium- and long-term needs.
Optare Solutions used the TM Forum’s Digital Maturity Model as a framework to carry out this evaluation. This model provided a structure to assess Cellnex Poland’s digital maturity in several key dimensions, such as technology, operations, and strategy. The focus on the technology dimension allowed Optare Solutions to provide precise recommendations for improving technological capabilities and aligning them with industry best practices.
“We are proud of the success achieved in this project together with Cellnex Poland,” stated Luis Álvarez-Sestelo, CEO of Optare Solutions. “Our ability to deliver complex and strategic technical solutions demonstrates Optare’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the telecommunications sector.”
The resulting ToBe document has been added to Cellnex Poland’s strategic plan and will subsequently be incorporated into Cellnex Group’s global strategic plan. This step not only reinforces strategic coherence and alignment at national and global levels, but also ensures the implementation of consistent improvements throughout the organization.
