Alchemy

Project Objective: The Alchemy project aims to develop a prototype of a predictive churn analysis system for telecommunications operators. This system relies on the analysis of data provided by the operator’s network management systems, using advanced predictive analysis models to identify patterns that can predict customer churn.

Funding and Call for Proposals: Alchemy is an individual R&D project funded by the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Tourism under the Call for Proposals 1/2014 of the Strategic Action for the Digital Economy and Society (AEESD). The project reference number is TSI-100105-2014-28.

Methodology and Technical Approach: The project uses the Big Data Analytics Reference Model from TMForum as a reference and focuses on integrating several proprietary modules within this model. These modules facilitate integration across different layers, network data sources, and the operator’s OSS/BSS systems (Operational Support Systems / Business Support Systems), optimizing the use of the predictive analysis results.

Key Features:

  • Predictive Analysis: Uses predictive models to analyze and forecast customer churn, enabling operators to take proactive measures to retain customers.
  • Data Integration: Facilitates the integration of data from various network sources and operational systems for more effective analysis.
  • OSS/BSS Optimization: Enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the operator’s OSS/BSS systems through the use of predictive analysis.

Co-Funding: This project is co-funded by various entities, reinforcing its collaborative approach and potential to generate innovative solutions within the telecommunications industry.
