The ‘Zero-Trust Agents’ project, with the participation of Optare Solutions, awarded at the TM Forum Catalyst Awards

Moonshot-Catalyst-Winner-2

The international collaborative initiative received the award for best “Moonshot Catalyst” in the Trustworthy AI category during the DTW Ignite 2026 global gathering held in Copenhagen.

The global telecommunications industry alliance TM Forum celebrated yesterday the presentation of the prestigious “Open Innovation and Moonshot Catalyst Awards” at the Bella Center in Copenhagen. In it, the joint innovation project “Zero-Trust Agents for Autonomous Networks” (Catalyst URN C26.0.933) was distinguished with the international “Best Moonshot Catalyst – Trustworthy AI and Data Challenge” award. The accolade recognizes the excellence of a collaborative ecosystem designed to deliver critical and revolutionary solutions to the global industry within the framework of this annual forum.

The initiative addresses a critical turning point for the sector: moving from theoretical experimentation with Artificial Intelligence to real, secure, and measurable execution in production networks. To meet operators’ regulatory and control requirements, the project proposes a zero-trust governance pattern called the IPOE model (Identity, Policy, Observability, and Evidence). Through this neutral framework, interactions of autonomous AI agents are evaluated in real time, and their scope is bounded to prevent critical risks such as prompt injection, identity spoofing, or scope creep from assigned tasks.

This international success is the direct result of close multidisciplinary cooperation aimed at solving the sector’s most complex engineering challenges. The consortium is promoted by Orange S.A., Telefónica, Telstra Corporation, and Vodafone Group as project Champions or leaders, and features the technological co-development of Solo.io, Minsait, Iquall Networks, and Optare Solutions as participants. The joint solution has demonstrated that standardized governance streamlines technical validation processes, allowing a reduction in the time to put components into production from weeks to just a few hours.

Within the distribution of the work cluster, Optare Solutions contributed its technical expertise in assurance and observability environments through the work of Fernando Lamela and Santiago Rodríguez. Both company professionals, who in parallel also actively participated in the “Boosting NPS beyond network KPIs with agentic AI” Catalyst (Catalyst URN C26.0.935), successfully carried out the firm’s technical contribution to this award-winning initiative. Specifically, the Optare team collaborated closely with Vodafone in deploying the monitoring agents within the supervision environment, ensuring that the control tools themselves were regulated under the architecture’s policy gateway. Likewise, it provided remote assurance interfaces securely connected to the operator’s perimeter to validate the flow’s automated reaction to service degradation scenarios.

For the Optare Solutions group, participating in this milestone within DTW Ignite 2026 reinforces its firm strategic commitment to remaining at the technological forefront of the practical, responsible, and measurable application of Artificial Intelligence. In line with the corporate path already undertaken with the launch of its specialized division Augura Tech, the Company continues to consolidate its position as a reference player that absolutely prioritizes data security, sovereignty, and privacy in highly demanding business environments.
