  • The solution will help PŚO streamline service fault reporting and handling, specifically for the wholesale FTTH business, enhancing efficiency and service quality.

Optare Solutions has been selected by Polski Światłowód Otwarty (PŚO) to implement its new Incident Management (IM) system. The project is part of PŚO’s broader strategy to modernize its OSS environment and improve the overall quality of their FTTH network services.

With a proven track record in the FTTH wholesale segment and extensive experience in incident and fault management systems, Optare will deploy a FTTH wholesalers specific IM solution, fully aligned with TM Forum standards. The platform will support PŚO in streamlining its incident lifecycle, covering fault handling, mass incident tracking, complaint management, and field operations appointment scheduling.

This new project reinforces Optare’s long-term commitment to the Polish market and highlights the trust placed by PŚO in Optare’s capabilities, approach and expertise. The solution has been designed to adapt to PŚO’s specific needs while ensuring high scalability, user experience, and seamless integration with existing systems.

This engagement with PŚO reflects the growing demand for robust, flexible, and standard-based OSS solutions. It also underscores Optare’s ability to support mission-critical operations for telecommunications companies with complex and fast-evolving service environments.

About PŚO

Polski Światłowód Otwarty (PŚO) is a wholesale-only operator, offering all retail operators open access to its broadband network in Poland on non-discriminatory terms. It currently cooperates with five nationwide retail operators — Play, T-Mobile, Netia, Plus, and Orange — as well as four local ones: RFC, Flashnet, Netronik, and Intertell. The PŚO Group already covers over 4.1 million households in Poland and ultimately plans to expand its FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network to reach more than 6 million households. To achieve this, the company is carrying out a network expansion and modernization process using the XGS-PON standard. This technology enables operators using the PŚO network to offer FTTH internet services with speeds of up to 8 Gbit/s. The shareholders of Polski Światłowód Otwarty are Plug Finco Sàrl — a company wholly owned by InfraVia V Invest Sàrl, an entity managed by InfraVia Capital Partners, which specializes in infrastructure and technology investments — and P4 sp. z o.o., part of the iliad Group, one of the largest telecommunications groups in Europe.
